Back in April my family and I had the opportunity to move back to my hometown near Seattle, Wa. Having left Seattle nearly four years ago to live abroad in England, it has been some time since we were Pacific Northwest dwellers. Boy were we ready to return! After England, we spent just over a year living in the San Francisco Bay Area, and our rain-loving hearts were ready for something a bit more green than what CA had to offer.
But, in homage to the special time and adventures that my family had in California, I am excited to share a luxurious styled shoot that took place at the Nicklaus Club in Monterey, CA in the spring. The talent behind the design and photography for this particular shoot was Rachel Zee Photography. Rachel was a joy to work with and gave me artistic license to create a vintage inspired wedding invitation suite and table stationery to fit her luxe romantic theme. It's with joy that I break my blog silence in sharing these beautiful pictures with you all.
The Nickaus club is a stunning location with rolling green fields, french doors painted the perfect patina french blue, and this stunning stone fireplace. Details like these are reminiscent of the old word European charm that I miss so much. The Pronovias gown, provided by Epiphany Boutique is the gown of my dreams. Catch the petit pois (french dot) tulle detailing!
The tablescape design was orchestrated by Twigs Floral Design. I had the pleasure of pairing some table stationery along with her brass and gold toned accents to create a french blue vintage feel. Along that theme, I designed a custom calligraphy logo and wreath motif for the menu cards. Menu items were written with an organic modern calligraphy style. Table numbers were painted on a lovely textured handmade paper.
Perhaps one of my favorite details of this shoot where the five baby bunnies who made an appearance courtesy of Epiphany Boutique! It's a good thing I didn't have baby bunnies at my own wedding or I may have forgotten to admire my groom (as if that was possible!).
The invitation suite featured some of my favorite stationery details: vintage stamps, flourished Copperplate calligraphy, organic wreath details, and handmade paper. And because I can't think "french" without thinking "linen," I decided to include a monogramed linen favor bag that I can only imagine must have been filled with an assortment of wee bon bons for the bunnies.
Thank you for the opportunity to share this shoot with you. If you would like to learn more about partnering with any of the vendors involved, I have included their contact information below.
